I have been involved in advocacy efforts for about almost 9 years now. Starting with the Point -In-Time-count that happens annually in Chicago on the coldest night of the year to find the most vulnerable living on the street. I am a member of Chicago's Continumm of Care as a part of The Lived Experience Commission. I am doing some advocacy and outreach work with Chicago's Flexible Housing Pool connecting those who frequent the hospital system to affordable housing. Also, I have the honor to be part of The Home Illinois: Supported by The Illinois Office to Prevent Prevent and End Homelessness Interagency as a member of the Community Advisory Council. I am working The Center for Housing and Health Community Advisory Board (CAB). And finally. I have the privilege of advocating for The Supportive Housing Providers Association, going to Springfield talking to legislators about how their votes are needed to continue the work of ending homelessness.
