Dr. David Woody, III, has served at The Bridge Homeless Recovery Center in Dallas, Texas since 2015, and as President and CEO since 2018. Dr. Woody, a seasoned Licensed Clinical Social Worker, is a committed advocate for citizens experiencing homelessness, and a data driven collaborator with those crafting strategies to reduce homelessness in our community. Dr. Woody earned a doctoral degree in Social Work and Social Policy from Virginia Commonwealth University. Dr. Woody's diverse leadership skills found him awarded the Dallas Business Journal 2021 Most Inspiring Leader recognition. Dr. Woody serves as Chair of the Dallas and Collin Counties CoC Executive Leadership Council, and as Leadership Council Liaison to the Veterans, HMIS, and Racial Equity Workgroups. Dr. Woody, since 1997, has held faculty appointments at three local Schools of Social Work, and has a broad clinical treatment background.  Empowering others passionately drives Dr. Woody's desire to engage others.
